| Adjustable balancing traction fixator in treating unstable fracture of the tibia and fibula |

| ABSTRACT Sixty five cases of unstable fracture of the tibia and fibula were treated with adjustable balancing traction fixator. The results showed that all were healed, average cliuical healing time being8.4weeks.The recovery of the function of knee and ankle joints within three months was around 98%. The rate of excellent and good was 92.3%. |
